“To demonstrate the transcendent effect of collaboration in every facet of life.”
“To inspire and promote collaboration in training a capable and sustainable workforce in underserved communities.”
"Collaboration, as bedrock, has the power to assemble capacity of unimaginable strength to perform ...regardless of the task."
~Jerry Anderson
We believe each individual is capable of changing their lives, with the help of a village, inner drive and perseverance. We believe in you - we believe you CAN DO!
Trainees can change their lives by engaging in this program to learn skills, renovate homes, and uplift the communities they live in. It's a collaborative effort that is a win-win-win.
The Do School staff is accountable to the Board and to each of our trainees, who in turn are accountable to us, each other and themselves.
Using the can-do algorithm, trainees will create, develop and implement new processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of restoring these homes and their lives.
Dependability is a key asset to job sustainability. Soft-skills workshops will help reinforce the importance of being dependable.
We are optimistic: excited, hopeful and confident about the future of our trainees and the success of The Do School's program.
A model for building economic mobility.
